“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.” - Hans Hoffman
This may sound extreme, but you, Diane Hart, literally saved my life. I suffer from depression and for some reason in my later years, began to neglect all of my domestic chores, such as grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, etc. I did not understand why. I was in a vicious cycle of depression and clutter - the worse the clutter got, the worse my depression got and on and on it went. Then, on top of everything else, I lost my job. I was extremely fortunate that you were available for me that week and the weeks that followed because I would not have got out of bed and my depression would have been out of control. Instead I woke up to greet you every day that we scheduled. You are just the most pleasant, nice, non judgemental person I think I have ever met. You really understand the psychological effects of clutter and you know how to work with people with kindness. You help to make decisions easier in terms of what to get rid of and what to keep. And if I said I wanted to keep it, we kept it. You are always mindful these are my possessions and what you've taught me is that I don't need as many of them. The clutter clearing helped clear my depression. If you are lucky enough to work with Diane, grab that opportunity and thank your lucky stars because your life is about to change for the better. If it can happen to me, it can happen to you, too!
Diane Hart has a true gift for seeing past the disarray to how best a space can work for the client. I am eternally grateful to her for transforming my office from a clutter collection I did my best to avoid, to a warm and welcoming, organized work environment that makes me happy every time I walk in the door.
The thought of bringing someone into my house to look at my pockets (read rooms!) of chaos was overwhelming. Diane's professionalism, warmth, sense of humour and non-judgemental approach made it possible. She was committed to my vision of how I wanted and needed my spaces to look, so I could live in my home with ease. Diane brought her ideas, support, compassion and commitment to make what is definitely not an easy task absolutely possible! I love coming home to 'everything in its place'!
Diane brought her energy and knowledge with her to help organize and de-clutter my bedroom so it could become my oasis in my home. We pulled everything out of all of nooks, crannies, drawers, dresser tops and closet. We sent dust bunnies flying, rescued random items that had migrated to my room and found clothes that belonged to another decade! Besides the essentials, I kept things that were important to me on display and everything thing else was organized and easy to access....and I actually had fun doing this. The result - my bedroom is now both an energizing and calming place to be - I love it - thank you Diane.
Working with Diane to de-clutter and downsize was a transforming experience. We all know what we are supposed to do - to live in a home that is organized, with everything in its place so that our day to day living is made easier, calmer and smoother. We all know that to live in a home like this frees up our energy to do more of the things we love. Knowing what to do and doing it are not the same. Diane made the doing it a reality. Her tools: her knowledge, flexible approach, willingness to understand individual needs and ability to use our time really well together truly transformed my home. I know where everything is, I have enough of everything I need, and I have a home that gives me energy – to do more of what I love to do.
I was so happy with not only the final results of the organizing of my basement, but with the whole process. Diane was professional, patient, highly efficient and extremely creative with her approach to transforming my 1500 square foot basement from a messy jungle of “stuff” to an organized, uncluttered space with maximum use of space. Everything is labelled, reachable, of use and “in it’s place”. Thank you Diane!
I needed to transform an extra bedroom into a functional home office space and Diane was the perfect person to get the task done! The space is warm, comfortable and highly functional. Her vision and ideas came together quickly and the task took very little time and money. Thanks so much Diane!
Diane and "In It’s Place” did just that for Barber Prosthetics Clinic. We have a one office clinic with 6 people sharing the space. Diane’s challenge was to come in and arrange the office so it would be functional, uncrowded as well as aesthetically pleasing as it is visible to the patients and visitors to our clinic. No task is too big for Diane. She got the job done in minimal time and without breaking the bank!! I’ll be recommending your services to all of my friends and colleagues!
It was a pleasure to have Diane help us seniors with reorganizing our (treasures). Her demeanor was attributed to her professional work. Highly recommend you use her services.
